> Primary care
Our primary care is provided by general practitioners, general practioners in training, practice assistants and doctor’s assistants. The care providers are supported by the center manager.
General practitioners
In every health center we have at least two general practitioners (GP’s). Therefor we can offer you primary care every working day from 8 am till 5 pm.
Every doctor has his/her own patients. In principle, you can only make appointments with your own general practitioner. If you have an urgent matter and your own doctor is not present, you can visit one of the other general practitioners.
Provided care
We offer regular general primary care including small surgical procedures and spiral placements.

Complaints and tips
SAG thinks it is important that you are satisfied with our care and service. We want to deliver high quality care to all our patients. Yet it may happen that you are less satisfied with some matters.
Make suggestions and complaints known
We would like to hear from you how you experience our service. Are you satisfied or less satisfied with events at one of our health centers? For example about (medical) actions, treatment or communication? Let us know. Together with you we will work on a solution. In addition, we register your complaints and comments for internal use, so that we gain insight into what you think can be improved.
In the ‘SAG Complaints Regulations’ you can read how we handle complaints from our patients. If you submit a complaint, please use the ‘Complaint form’.
Consultations
A regular consultation lasts 15 minutes.
The doctors assistant can schedule a longer appointment in case you:
- would like to have an introductory meeting with one of our GP’s, or:
- have multiple complaints, or:
- have a complicated health issue, or;
- would like to have a conversation with your GP.
In these cases you need to notify the assistant in advance.
In addition to the regular consultation hour (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) we offer the following options:
Consult by phone
If you want to speak to your doctor, you can request a consult by phone. Your doctor will call you in the afternoon. This consult is limited to eight patients per day. Please sign up early if you want to make use of this service.
Home visit
In case you are too ill to come to our health center, or there are other reasons why it is really not possible to visit us, then you can request a home visit. We need to have your request before 10 a.m., in order to arrange this home visit the same day. The assistant assesses, if needed together with the general practitioner, if and when a home visit is made. The home visit is not intended for people who do not have the time or transport to go to the regular consultation hour.
eConsult
Through our online patient portal you can ask a question to our GPs. This is only intended for questions that are not urgent. For more information about the online patient portal (MySAG-app), look at Online services.
Repeat prescription
You can request repeat prescriptions for medicines in different ways. Please note that not all prescriptions can be repeated without consultation with your GP, for example sedatives/sleep medication, psychiatric medication and antibiotics.
