We only have consultation hours by appointment. We do not offer a walk-in consultation hour. Every doctor has his own patients. In principle, you can only make appointments with your own general practitioner. In case of an urgent matter and your own GP is not present, you can go to one of the other GP’s.

You can make an appointment in the following ways:

Through our online patient portal

24/7. Look here for more information about our portal and how to register.

By telephone

Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. You can find the telephone number of your health center here.

With the doctor’s assistant

At the counter of our health center, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Repeat prescription

You can request repeat prescriptions for medicines in different ways. Please note that not all prescriptions can be repeated without consultation with your GP, for example sleep medication, psychiatric medication and antibiotics.

For which questions is the e-consult suitable?

An e-consult is only suitable for questions that are not urgent. Examples include: lifestyle, medication, (results of) research, an earlier consultation, monitoring and follow-up in chronic disorders.
Contact the practice: for urgent complaints, for complaints for which the general practitioner must (probably) physically examine you.

Having a baby in the Netherlands

The Netherlands boasts one of the best perinatal care systems in the world. However, the support and care given to young women through pregnancy and giving birth, may be quite different from what internationals are used to in their home country.

Healthcare for internationals (H4i) is currently researching the experiences that internationals have (or have had) with Dutch perinatal care. The outcomes will help healthcare providers to better meet the needs and expectations of internationals.

Perinatal care is the care a women and her (unborn) baby receive during pregnancy, when giving birth and in the first days after the baby is born, as well as, for the purpose of this survey, the care the child receives at the Youth Healthcare Clinic (‘Consultatiebureau’) during the first 4 years.

Please take this survey if you have experience with Dutch perinatal care and receive(d) care from a midwife, maternity nurse or youth healthcare clinic.
